Default Spiders

We have lived in our house for over a year now and never seen anything but the occasional spider. However in the past 1-2 weeks I have seen 3 half dollar sized black spiders in our house. I was watching a college football game last weekend had the lights down and saw something walking on the floor. Well when I turned the lights on and saw this thing I about wet myself, and I'm not afraid of spiders. Anyway, we have a 11 month old that is crawling everywhere and don't want one of these spiders to bite her. Anyone else see these or had these spiders?

I've seen one of those in my basement but I'm not entirely sure what it is. Too large to be a brown recluse so I'm not too terribly worried. I killed the one I did see however.

This is a Black Widow that I spotted while collecting fossils in Franklin Co. a couple of weeks ago.

We have black widows outside our house, but they are somewhat small and have only seen them in the garage, never the main part of our house.

I'm not sure what type of spiders they are, but ICK!

Well, you can always call an exterminator - they will rid your house of spiders in a manner that is safe for your baby. I used to call (I think) Terminix.

Thats what we are going to do. I think they got in because we just had carpet put in and we never had them before that. Now they are all over.
