Affordable furniture/decor in Lexington?
We've bought a townhouse and our looking to find some affordable furniture as well as affordable decor (specifically window curtains, place mats, paintings, etc).
We actually just bought a new micro-fiber sectional and recliner back over the summer, so we're not in need of those. We definitely need end tables, a dresser or two, bookshelves and maybe a better coffee table.
Where have you found the best deals, without losing the quality, around town?
(Also, my SO is looking for a good deep-fryer, anyone know where to find a nice (and of course, affordable) one?)

You can actually find some good buys on Craigslist for some used furniture. For some smaller decorating items, check out Kirklands behind Fayette Mall. Best deal in town for some lamps, mirrors, pictures, small accent furniture, etc.

Awesome, thanks! I'm always stand-offish about Craigslist, some items seem reallly over priced and when there's no picture it makes you wonder what shape the item for sale is in.

I love Home Goods in Woodhill for these types of things. It is hit or miss what they have but when they have something you're looking for it is always at a great price!

There is a ReStore (benefits Habitat for Humanity) on Southland Drive. Some great stuff there, some not so great. Always fun to look, especially for things like coffee tables, end tables, odd decor pieces, pictures for the wall, etc....
Another Man's Treasure on Clays Mill Road.
The Meadowthorpe Antique Mall (Leestown Road) is always a treat.

I think you just have to exercise common sense. I see some items on there and think "you people must be dreaming". Those items you'll typically see remain as they are just way overpriced. I have some furniture that I want to sell on there, but think I may wait to spring.
I'll also mention Pier One. That is because they put certain items on clearance. I just bought this cabinet piece that was originally $400-500. It was on clearance a month ago for around $275. Just bought it this past weekend for $179! I also bought some chairs that they touched up the scratches and added additional discount to the already sell price for me at my request!
