One to consider is Woodford County Vet off Versailles Rd.

I know it may sound like a haul but the vets are good and the hours are great for the working crowd (open till 7 or 8 pm I believe during the week). You can get in and out.

I have not found another place that clips my dogs nails (sorry I don't like to do it) for $8. I have been charged ridiculous amounts of money for something that only takes 5 minutes.

A lot of people from Fayette Co go out there and it really isn't far. Google 'Woodford County Vet Versailles KY' and you will see quite a few positive ratings.

too sweet, I'm getting tears in my eyes. Yes, she's great - just a cuddler. Hope your dog (cat?) is also doing well. We have a nice Humane Society here in Lexington. My Brittany is apparently "ancient" (well, Dr. Headley saw her spinal x-rays and declared her "double digits"). It was one of those things that we had to do and we've never regretted. I'm also fostering a golden retriever for a Louisville-based rescue group and Chevy Chase has been good to her. Long story, but Dr. Headley referred her to the opthalmologist in Louisville. I always appreciate a doctor or vet who will be modest enough to say "this is beyond my expertise".

I have been very happy with Southland Veterinary Hospital on Southland Drive, which is just off Nicholasville Road. The doctors and other staff members are friendly, intelligent, compassionate, and love animals. Southland will also board small animals for a reasonable fee if you are going out of town.

Srszee- TONS of equine vets here! It depends on your location, if you want a big (huge) hospital or small one or two vet practice, and other personal preferences. I use Park Equine which has a new hospital in Versailles and the original one on the border of Paris and Lex on Paris Pike. They have around 10 mobile vets and I can use the same vet all the time.
