Default The best, worst counties around Lexington

(I did a similar question with Louisville.)

We can include Fayette County in this, too. Let's try to keep it to no more than two counties away from Lexington.

You can say what you like and what you don't like about the counties you've chosen.

As far as shopping goes Jessamine Co is one of the best in the state. They have 3 Krogers, 1 Lowe's, tons of fast food and now some higher end chain restaurants, and it's getting a Sam's Club and Cracker Barrell this year.

Personally if I stay in Lexington after finishing college (sometime this century - I'm not sure if I'm the class of 2009 or 2109) it would be great to buy a small farm house anywhere from Keene to Troy (along KY 1267). Parts of Wilmore & Nicholasville also have nice buys on a house compared to Lexington.

Although Lexington has low crime I would never buy a house there because of the horrible traffic planning and high taxes
