Things To Talk About In The Metro South Of Little Rock (East End: middle school, property tax)

East End has a couple of restaurants, 2 schools, a lake, lots of people,video stores and lots of other things. The only thing it needs is a post offfice, and a town hall. Why do people keep voting East End to not be a city? It is a big area with alot of land to build things at.They need a high school and middle school too.They've been saying for years they'd build one but they never do. If East End had a U.S. Post office mailing would not be confusing because as of now they share a mailing address with little rock 72206 and hensley 72065 and that's confusing. It is because half of the community says hensley ar 72065 and the other says little rock ar 72206 as the addresses. The right side of the road going from Landmark to East End says Little Rock AR the left side says Hensley AR. East End has some problems!

Is East End not incorporated?

Perhaps people there don't want the tax burden that will come with incorporation. When a place incorporates, it becomes responsible for operating a city/town government complete with police and fire protection. That can be expensive -- and the only way to pay for it is to institute a city property tax that is levied upon homeowners in addition to the county property tax.
