Moving to Sherwood, AR area...
My husband starts a new job in North Little Rock in a few weeks, and we are looking to follow a few weeks after that. We are interested in the Sherwood area, as it is only a few miles from NLR. Being from a midwest smalltown, we are concerned about crime, gang activity and the quality of schools. One of our kids is in middle school and the other in high school. What can anyone tell me about the atmosphere, safety, and affordability of the Sherwood/NLR area? Are there good neighborhoods in NLR? Basically we would be interested in renting a home for awhile, to see how we like the area etc., before we make the decision to purchase a home. We really would prefer to stay in a smaller town within 10 miles or so of NLR. Also, the town we come from isn't a very diverse town, and (how do I not make this sound bad), we are looking for a similar environment. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Sounds like you would fit in better in Cabot
