Hello, getting to church on Sunday morning is not possible for me. Are there mainstream Protestant-ish churches in LR/NLR that meet on Friday night or Saturday night?

About my belief system: grew up Methodist, Southern Baptist high school, in Dallas loved St Thomas Episcopal, Irving Bible Church, and Springcreek Church in Garland.

Dallas is a wonderful place to have a church home. I miss my old churches.

I am not a rabid GOP fundie, I'm more of a liberal Democrat fundie, perhaps. They exist. "Fundamentals not fundamentalism" is my general outlook.

No 7th Day, no Unity, no "mother father god", nothing on that side, and no pharisees or wingnut or "god hates ..." on the other.

I am a little more conservative religiously and a little more liberal socially than I was as a youth.

If I can find a great night service in LR/NLR, I would even be willing to buy and wear dress pants for the first time in about 20 years. (Wore shorts and sandals to my computer geek job and my churches. Loved seeing that under the robes, the pastors were often wearing shorts and Birks.)

Any help?

Default Churches

Church at Rock Creek (nondenominational) has a service at 7:00 on Mondays.
Pulaski Heights Methodist has a service Friday at 6:00- traditional casual.
New Life Church (nondenominational) has a Friday service at 5:45.

You can google anyof these and learn more to see if they fit your beliefs and desired style of worhip. Good luck and I hope you find the place your looking for to worship and grow in your decipleship!

Your perspective sounds very similar to my own. I go to an Evangelical Lutheran Church, which is Liberal AND Evangelical.

I don't live in Arkansas as you can see but I have friends there and I've visited so I sometimes checkout the LR sub forum and your post caught my eye.

Evangelical Lutheran Churches frequently have service on Saturday nights as well as Sunday AM

There are two in LR - Faith Lutheran and Shepherd of the Hills.

You might call the office to see if they have a Saturday night service.

Best of Luck in your search.
