Yay! Anyway, we are going to be leaving Houston, Tx to move back to LR. I have my eye on a house that is located on Rivercrest Dr. 72211. Looking at Google maps the house appears to be surrounded by greenbelt and some ways toward the north is the Arkansas River Trail. Can anyone tell me if Rivercrest Dr. is up on a ridge far above the river or is it flat lands there. I used to live on Scenic Dr. in the Heights and that was far above the river. My husband is nervous to live on flat lands near the river, but I am pretty sure that area is up on a ridge.

Can anyone confirm?

Rivercrest Drive is on a ridge top several hundred feet above the river flood plane. Welcome back home.

I have friends that live on Rivercrest Drive, it's a nice area. It's also up on a large hill/ridge above the parks/forest. If that street floods, you'd better be building an ark because we'd all be in trouble.

I'm familiar with that area, and trust me, it can't flood there. Rivercrest Dr has as much of a chance of flooding as the top of Pinnacle Mountain. Nice clean and safe community by the way.

Street view goes all along Rivercrest Dr. You can see the far-off views in between the houses and tell that it is up high.

And if you get out on 430 (street view) and look back toward where Rivercrest Drive is, you can clearly see the "lay of the land". Very pretty area!
