Thanks for the info. I've loved to know the location of the park you take your dog, Ralph to. It does sound great and just what I am looking for. And, yes ... the location of the Cliffs is very good, but they seem to be so small. I wish that someone had some info on the Linden Courts complex. Still curious about them. They are at the corner of No. Pierce and Lee ... just east of University.

All I can tell you about Linden is from being there once. It's a smaller condo complex, red brick and white siding, two story condos (I believe all are two story). N. Pierce is a little half-street at that area, these condos would actually sit at the corner of Lee and University. Built in the early 1980's, I think. The drawback for me would be Park Plaza Mall, which is directly west and a little north at University and Markham (NW corner). Lee Ave. is about the 500 block N, the mall extends up to the 300 block. On the NE corner of Markham and University is an IHOP, and directly behind that is what I think they call Midtowne Mall at the 200 block north, which extends east and north, directly across from St. Vincent Infirmary (SE corner). I'm thinking this complex almost backs up to Midtowne Mall. So you have a lot of shopping traffic in that immediate area. At 400 N. University on the west side is Summit House, which is going condo. For a while they were for older people, then started drawing some younger but more questionable tenants. I don't know when the total condo conversion is supposed to take place.

Park Plaza used to be the be-all for Little Rock, but most of the major retailers have moved west. PP is anchored by Dillard's. The old University Mall has closed (SW corner of Markham and Univ.) and there is some discussion about tearing it down but I'm not sure what happened there. The neighborhood itself is fine...Catholic High School is right there(an all boy's school) and a number of medical offices that front University. You're pretty much in the thick of things as far as a central location. From what I recall about Linden, they look pretty much like any other condo in the world. I don't remember a pool but I could be mistaken there. There isn't much green space at all. Due to the proximity to University I wouldn't want to walk alone at night by myself. University is a main thoroughfare. I'm sure if you stuck to Lee Ave. and Woodlawn you'd be okay, but I personally just wouldn't do it. This is a little older neighborhood, with most of the homes being built in the 1940's, small cottages. Some people will tell you this is Hillcrest. It is not. Not sure what that area used to be called, but it is not Hillcrest.

Linden would definitely be a good starting point for figuring out Little Rock. You may love it there - we all look at the world with a different eye! My concern with a dog would be the lack of a large green space, but you probably don't get that with any condo setting.

Sam, thanks again for the great info. I am looking forward to seeing more of Little Rock and revisiting different areas. I was told by the realtor that the Linden complex was "Hillcrest" after all. I believe I mentioned earlier that it was not advertised as such, but that is how they listed it. Guess you are correct about them stretching a bit.
