What does Benton County, AR have to offer?
I want to move to Arkansas. I have 5 children, 3 of which will be moving with me. I have researched a little bit about AR and Benton has stood out. JROTC is a must and also homeschool. I love the idea of being miles away from town. I own my own concrete business. I think it would do good here. I was wondering if a reasonably priced house and land is possible to find in the country and any other information that might be helpful. Thanks

Benton County is a great place, IMHO.
Not aware of any JROTC programs, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Plenty of homeschoolers. You have to be in the country to find a "reasonably" priced house with any land.
Hopefully, someone with more info will post. Best of luck,

Also look its its southern neighbor Washington county. If you want country living and are religious you might also go a bit further south into the Ft. Smith area. Homeschooling is very popular down there as is a rural, church centered lifestyle. Even those who live in town live a much slower, rural pace of life compared to in the core towns of NWA.

If you're coming from North Mississippi, then you're going to wind up losing some money if you come to Northwest Arkansas. Granted it's been a long time since I've lived in my home state, but if you're doing okay in New Albany, I don't see the need to leave.

Look at Siloam Springs in Western Benton Co, based on what you said in your post.

Benton, AR, is not in Benton County. Benton is adjacent to Little Rock, in Saline County. Benton County is in northwest Arkansas.
