Little Rock is expanding (Nashville, Bay: condos, to live, to eat)

Hey Whatsup Im here in Little Rock and I just want to say Little Rock is expanding also we are continually building and they have said that in 3 to 5 years downtown Little Rock will not be recognizable due to the fact that Condiminums are being built other big buildings andthe rumor of expansion to the Alltel Arena. When will Little Rock get a sports team a pro sports team? I know the populations isnt that huge but if Green Bay can do it (less than 300,000) people then Little Rock Can do It! What do You think?

I get to go to Little Rock for the first time this March on my way to Colorado. I can't wait to eat at Shaka Lodge and see downtown. Looking at TOPO 5.0 I hope to see some condos on the bluffs over looking the river. As far as a pro team in Little Rock I wouldnt count on it, not anytime soon at least. Your town would have to be a major market for a NFL or NBA to go over in the southeast. Too many people in the smaller markets are going to spend all of their money on SEC sports than on pro sports. The Nashville's and Atlanta's of the south have not only the population, but a higher concentration of wealth to support the teams. In 50 years though, when both the NBA and NFL have 60 teams each, Little Rock may be on there along with Green Bay.

Little Rock's not likely to get a pro sports team any time in the future. There's markets much bigger like Hartford, Virginia Beach, Las Vegas, and Oklahoma City that don't even have a pro sports team. Little Rock has come so far though with attracting plenty of minor league teams.

I posted on another topic with this same question. If you could choose between Little Rock, Las Vegas or Phoenix to live and work, which would you choose? I know Little Rock is the best for economics, but what about the rest of it?
