I LOVE Outlet Shopping! I am moving to Little Rock. Are there any outlet malls in and around the area? I "googled" outlet malls and came up with a Dollar Store. That's not what I think of when I think of an outlet mall.

HELP?!?! Any ideas?

That's something we really don't have much of around here.

But it gives you an excuse to drive to Branson for a day -- or San Marcos for a weekend!

No outlet malls in LR. There was an attempt at one in Hot Springs across from the Hot Springs mall but no outlets are left there.

Closest ones are in Tunica (2.5 hrs), Branson (3 hrs) or if you want outlets as good as any in the U.S., Dallas (4.5 hrs). The wife and I hit Allen Premium Outlets and Grapevine Mills in Dallas a couple times a year.

I haven't been to it in a few years, but there is an excellent one in Sikeston, MO with easy access.

Sikeston has more than enough to support a weekend getaway.

I forgot about the one in Sikeston. It's ok. However, if you're looking for specialty-type outlets or high-end retail outlets, it will be a disappointment. Last time I went through there (last year), their biggest tenant was a Levi's outlet. They had a bookstore with retailer's rejects (meaning don't expect to see a book you've actually heard of), a few other clothiers, and a bakeware store, among other things.

It's definitely worth a stop if you're headed to St. Louis -- but probably not worth the long drive just for the outlets. (Although, you could eat lunch at Lambert's, shop, then eat dinner at Jeremiah's -- and THAT may be worth the trip.)

Thanks! Everyone. I appreciate your suggestions. I guess I will use outlet shopping as a get away every now and again!
