Housing prices in Sherwood are not that much different than housing prices in parts of WLR and NLR. Personally, I avoid Sherwood like the plague because of their police department. Housing is a bit more expensive in Sherwood than in Conway.

Commute: The commute from Conway to Children's is pretty harsh (if you are hitting the rush hours). Getting from WLR, NLR or Sherwood to Children's would be much easier/quicker than coming in from Conway. If you are coming in at 6am, then you will not hit any traffic (barring accidents).
Conway is about 30 minutes from Children's. Lets call it 35 miles.
Count on $4 gas. I can nearly guarantee that's what we'll be paying by Memorial Day.

johncronejr is on a distinguished road
Kalli....I would choose Conway. UCA is a fantastic school, town is nice, and LR is just a short drive for anything you cant buy in Conway.

As far as jobs, do some searches for the new Hewlett Packard location that will be opening in Conway in the next couple of years. They are claiming they will have 1,400 jobs with great pay ($40,000 a year was the figure given in the paper) in technical services and customer service.

Does anyone rent out apartments for $400 a month anymore??? Doubt you will find anything decent for that price in Anytown, USA. If ya'll both want to attend college, you could check with UCA's married housing and see what it runs.
