Elementary teacher moving to Little Rock (North Little Rock, Jacksonville: to buy, schools, living)

My husband is in the air force and will be in Little rock this summer. I have been applying to North Little Rock and Pulaski county special schools. I want a school that is somewhere close to base but we're not sure where we are going to live either. I'm not sure about the school systems here but any help on where to live (we don't have to live on base) or any help in my job area will be appreciated!

Don't look at Jacksonville it is not a great area to live in, the schools are not that good either. Look further out

Hi there~
My dh just got a job on base too. We are actually Air National Guard. We are going to move to the Jacksonville area. Some people are not fond of the area, however, my husband has been living there since January and thinks it's very friendly. He says it's growing rapidly. There is an area right by the base, super close to Sherwood, just off of 107 called Base Meadows. That is where we are looking to buy. There are also a lot of new developments in Gravel Ridge, Gibson areas too that are right by the base.

We were considering Cabot, but we encountered some, well, interesting things about the community. If you want more info, feel free to pm me.
