Default Part time jobs in North/Little rock area?

well here it goes....I am a full time student at UALR and life is getting expensive day by day. So, I was talking to my dad recently about real estate market and his answer was 'DO NOT GET INTO REAL ESTATE"...But I wanted a second opinion. I am thinking about getting my real estate license and be a part time Realtor agent to make little money so I can afford school. But is there such thing as part time real estate? it will be great if yall give me any input on this.....I would appreciate it.

Maybe you should look into some kind of internship. Many are offered for college students. The only kicker is it will be hard to find in this economy, but I think it can be done. If you are looking for genuine part time work, most college students do fast food or retail. Best of luck.

The time it takes to be a Realtor....is just not worth it right now while you're in school.
I'm a full time college student as well and was recently laid off.
It is pretty hard to find a part time job that will work with your schedule if you're in college, which was why I liked my other job so much.
I'm not worried too much about finding a job after high school...it's the here and now I'm worried about.

Moving on...I put in an application for the Wal-Mart on McCain Friday night...and have an interview this Monday.
I'm sure they will work with your school schedule. They even have a question on the application that asks if you're a student.

I suggest checking out the Sunday paper and looking at the Jobs section.

You can also look into care giver positions at nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

Have you inquired about a work study position at your school?

The job market in LR/NLR isn't as bad as it is in some places. You just have to do a bit more work than before the recession but jobs are out there. You just have to present yourself in the right manner.

Best of luck!!
