I bet you can take a music class at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

You could also find somebody to teach you through church. Many of the larger churches have orchestras with lots of wind instruments. Shouldn't be that difficult to find.

You might check Craigslist or post on there. Also, you can find postings on bulleton boards in music stores. Probably not much demand for flute. I teach fingerstyle guitar.

You would have to apply for admission with the school but I would try to contact someone in the music department and see if they can give you private lessons out of the school before applying.
The economy is bad and I bet some of them wouldn't mind the extra cash to help you with the flute.

Good advice. I'd also recommend talking to someone at a local music store. They'll have connections to school music teachers. I'm sure there are quite a number who would be willing to do private lessons also. With UALR faculty and local school music teachers, I'm sure you can find someone.

Try putting a note on the bulletin board at the music building at UALR! Or asking on Craigslist, as someone mentioned.
