I was wondering if the area around UALR would be a good place to live? If we move, my husband will be working it town and I would be attending UALR so I would like to live close by if it's a nice area. Are there any apartments near the area that anyone would recommend?

The area around UALR is not the best. However, the school is centrally located, and LR is not that big, so you won't be too far away no matter where in town you live.

I drive by there pretty often and can't say that I'd recommend living close to UALR, nor do I recommend the apartments nearby (have heard bad things about them from people living there). Jenni-b is right, no matter where you live in LR you wont be too far away.

Ok. That will be fine. I have been apartment/house hunting online and it's hard because there are little things you need to know about a place that people never want to tell you! I am an Apartment Manager now so I know the kinds of things to look for and ask about. Everyone's pictures look appealing, which means nothing of course!
