I've lived in Cabot my entire life, and beside the elitism they display with outsiders, there's nothing out of the norm of any other town in the Bible belt. It's not blatant racism you feel, it's subtle prejudice against anyone from the outside.

People twist and turn small things they see into much bigger speculations. The town's nice and is growing exponentially thanks to HCW and the American Government housing a lot of military into the town, but in no way is it a racist town.

Move to Harrison if you want to see racism.

I live in a small community in Saline County called East End. It has a small town feel with a low crime rate. I think you could find a duplex or apartment to rent around here for about $400-$500 a month. Most are newly built. We are about 20 minutes from Downtown Little Rock with easy access to just about anywhere you want to go.

Ask the kids that play football against Cabot High if they think Cabot is racist. Let's be honest - If you have too much melanin in your skin, then Cabot is not the place for you. Saline County (Bryant, Benton) have similar demographics to Cabot, but they do not have the backwoods mentalility that Cabot has. Cabot may not be quite as bad as Harrison, but it is more like Harrison than anywhere in the LR Metro.

hello, I am 27 and my wife and I live in Bryant. We love it here because we are both from small towns and it has that small town feel with plenty of places to shop,eat and the interstate runs right through the town. Still if we didn't have a child my wife and I would have chosen to live in WLR. Not sure what the abovfe poster has been smoking but you actually want to stay west of I-430 between Chenal and and the Arkansas River. There are plenty of great apartment communities that you will love. Moderator cut: no recommendations
