Moving to Little Rock and need help
I am relocating to AR. I will be working in Little Rock. I would like some help in finding a good area to settle down. Here are some quick details.
Would like to buy
120k to 145k price range
I have 4 boys of ages 13 down to 7, so I need all levels of schools for them.
Close to shopping.
My wife is employeed by Kohls dept stores and is hoping to get a transfer to one in the area.
I will be working around the I-630/I-430 intersection and would like to stay with-in a 6-9 mile radius of that area.
I know that's alot, but what do you guys suggest
BTW, we are moving from south alabama and rural is fine but not so far out that we have to schedule our trips to the grocery store.
Thanks for your help everyone.
Chad

Yes, that is West Little Rock.
There are lots of places in WLR that would meet your criteria, the hardest part may be finding something in that price range. You might have more luck south of Kanis.

I live in Sheridan, about 25 minutes south of Little Rock. It is a wonderful area with many people choosing to live there for the schools, which are considered some of the best in the state. Cost of living is low, and the environment is "Mayberry" friendly.
If I can give you info on this area, just let me know. Good luck!

I live 5 minutes from I 430/630. I live in the Walnut Valley area. Its near Breckenridge and Shackleford Road. I am 45 seconds from Rodney Parham Road with runs into 430/630.The house price range is accurate for here. Its near everything, and about 15 minutes from Kohls. I have lived here since 1980. Houses are built around 1970. Area is quite safe. Some "mixed" apartments near but no biggie. The neighborhood is a tad mixed....a tad....not much, but seems to be ok so far. Dont get caught up in the commuting. Its a horrible drive, long and lots of wrecks every day. ( I hear it on the radio)There also is "Colony West" area near, and nice homes out Old Forge Drive,(off of Rodney Parham) and some nice areas directly across Rodney Parham Road from the Breckenridge Shopping Center. There are houses around here coming for sale all the time ( 2 on my street now) and they ALWAYS sell !!! Let me know if I can help you any more.....Are you looking for private school??
