went to little rock for 2 days and really liked it. i am guessing that the more bohemian areas are within downtown and in the river market area? any other areas? i would be looking into buying a house- not a loft or condo. any websites you would recommend? i did the standard ones that popped on google. thanks

I consider the Argenta/downtown part of North Little Rock to be very artsy.

They have an art night every third Friday I believe.

Argenta and downtown LR are both very nice and artsy, but since you're looking for a house, rather than a condo, try Hillcrest, Capitol View, or Stifft Station. Hillcrest in particular has lots of galleries and shops within walking distance, up and down Kavanaugh.

The words Arkansas and art make me happy. It will ease the wife into living there.

I've been to LR many times, and am always impressed. It feels like a much bigger city than it actually is. In fact, I'm overdue for a visit!

I'm very much into the art scene, where can I go and when to get more into the local art community?

Hillcrest is the hipster area of Little Rock. The Quapaw Quarter and Argenta come close. The River Market area has most of your live music and sports bar type places.
