The city of North Little Rock has a population of approximately 60,000 so it is large enough where you can find all types of communities. I saw on another thread that you were considering living on 15th Street near the railroad tracks...STOP!!!! First of all you should eliminate all places south of I-40. Other than a few isolated blocks, you will not find any good areas in that part of NLR. I don't know what your price range is, but if I was just moving to the northside I would strongly consider places like Lakewood, Park Hill, and neighborhoods up in Sherwood that are really nice and affordable and most importantly SAFE. Not sure how far north would you consider living, but you can find newer affordable homes in Cabot and parts of Jacksonville, although I personally do not like the schools in J'ville but it is a friendly and diverse community especially with the presence of the Air Force Base...Cabot has good schools but is not diverse at all.

truthfully i can't see much difference in Little Rock or North Little Rock. Although there is more country side to NLR and its not quite as commercial so to speak.
