Hello Everyone,
I will be visiting London for the second time and would like to inquire about the nice romantic Restaurants in and around London City. Food choice is open, just needs to have the right atomosphere and obviously the food should be good
Would like to surprise my lady when she comes to visit for the weekend.
This may seem pedantic, but it isn't. By London City, do you mean the City of London, which is the old financial area or are you referring the London as a whole?
I assume you are referring to central London, put simply the main tourist parts?

Hello, thanks for the replies so far. I am actually open to most of London. I am familar with Canary Wharf and Piccadilly Circus areas. I will be staying at the Crowne Plaza next to Black Frairs (forgive my spelling).
I'm open to a good resturuant, good food and ambience, and I'm willing to travel. I don't mind if it's a touristy side or not.
There are lots of great restaurants in and around London. I really like L'Ortolan near Shinfield in Berkshire...very modern and delicious French food in a lovely old manor house. I think it has a Michelin star as well.
If you are a true foodie, you should check out Heston Blumenthals' the Fat Duck neat Maidenhead!

Thank You for your response. I'm in London now and have already been to Gaucho's, Christophers, and both had very nice ambience and the service and food was excellent.
I think I would like to try L'Ortolan since I very much enjoy French food and would see how this one compares.
Thanks for your response!
