If you've moved to LA what has your experience been with driving on the wrong side and the driving written exam/practical test?
Thanks

Hi Tea Tea-I am an American living in England and I was worried about driving on the wrong side of the road in the UK, but so far it hasn't happened, you get used to being on the other side right away. I can tell you that you will find driving in LA a piece of cake. First of all we have no annoying roundabouts, in LA you'll find much bigger roads (no constant giving way), and unike the UK, LA roads are mostly built on a grid system which makes it very easy to find places, turn back if you get lost, etc. Also we have very good sign postings on the roads and drivers are mostly considerate (except at rush hour on the freeway
)
I haven't taken my UK driving test yet (I have a provisional license) but I have been told that the US test is much easier than the UK version, it would probably not hurt to take some driving lessons so that you can get some good tips and made aware of certain things you need to know in order to pass the test. I know those big freeways can look intimidating but once you try it you'll see how easy it is to get around, it would probably be easier if you can get an automatic car it really helps on the freeways
