Yup, in fairness, they'd be better served just calling the tower "Big Ben" because everyone does anyway.

I'm too lazy to read the article, but will this just be for her Jubilee year?

I can't imagine Brits supporting permanently renaming Big Ben, whether the bell or tower. It will always be known as Big Ben to everyone there and around the world.

I couldn't care less. The west tower is already named the Victoria Tower after Queen Victoria.

I just can't see the point in even arguning about something that won't make any difference to me or to the Clock Tower in Question, which will still be known as Big Ben.
