Exclamation Consider moving to London! Need help!

Hi. I'm considering moving to London from Bulgaria. I have friends there who can help me a bit.. but i have some questions.. I've looked all over the net for houses apartments etc.. (rentals) and i've found some very decent ones who are not that expensive. I know London is an expensive city.. so my questions are.. Can someone tell me what are the average monthly taxes like electricity, water, phone, tv etc for lets say.. a house or a apartment with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom?? I have no idea what are the taxes there.. so if someone could explain i will ve veryy thankful! My lifestyle is not spoiled. I don't waste money for things i don't need. I guess the cost of living is expensive... Thanks!

I appreciate that London is the capital, and that's why people want to move there. However consider that there are many more affordable, and nice towns and cities throughout the UK. I'd say do your research before moving to London. Property and rents are expensive throughout the UK, but more so in London.

Here's a link to average utility costs (gas, electric etc.) in the UK and you can get comparisons for different parts of the country too.

You should give some thought to living out of London. Apparently, Dundee and district has the largest population of Bulgarians living in Scotland, over 200 in a report dated March 2006.
