I have read so many bad reviews that I am afraid to consider Bob's. Their sofa's are attractive and some are very comfortable but the reviews say that the sofa's won't hold up to everyday heavy use. Is there anyone out there who can tell me anything about the sofa's in terms of the seat cushions? Someone who has a sofa from Bob's and has used it more than a year and a half that can comment on the cushions and sagging? New stuff hasn't yet passed the test of time so I need to know what people think?

I'd say most furniture today is built like garbage. Not real wood, joints are terrible, cheap fabrics etc.

We just bought a bedroom set from Raymour and Flanigan and are happy with it. Real wood, great detail, seems to be nicely built.

I have a few pieces of Bob's furniture and it holds up well considering I run a day care and my furniture takes abuse.

We have a pull out sofa, rocking recliner and a tv cabinet from Bob's. They're holding up well under the stress of our 2 year old.

ETA: We got the sofa 3 years ago, no sagging at all, cushions still are the same as when they were brand new. The recliner the same but that we got 2 years ago. They get heavy use from us, my 2 year old thinks they're hers..

Seriously...If I don't buy Thomasville Raymour and Flanigan is a good alternative.

Raymour and Flanigan is by far my favorite furniture store. I also have an electric recliner from Bobs. It's held up pretty well and when the motor broke, they were fast to have a repairman there. That being said, it's not the best quality furniture. Compare it to the old Levitts or Seamans furniture.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Raymour.

Regarding Bob's, you get what you pay for.

You are going to get inexpensive furniture there and it will likewise be of poorer quality. Drexel Heritage is closing on 110 and their quality is amazing, and might be affordable now.

My Bob's Dining room set (table, chairs, china cabinet, and 2 servers) is holding up great after 3 years. So is our coffee and end tables in the living room. No complaints

My Bobs sleeper sofa and bed are holding up great.. granted I only got them a month or so ago but they are both very solid and I honestly would not hesitate to walk into the showroom again to get something else.
