Thoughts on South Huntington schools? (Union, Huntington Station: buyers, school district, to live in)

Anyone graduate from South Huntington High School or have kids there now? Are there any "issues"?

In addition to the Hamlet of South Huntington and the southern-half of the Hamlet of Huntington Station, the South Huntington Union Free School District also includes the Hamlet of West Hills and a small part of the Hamlet of Melville.

There's no such high school as "South Huntington High School". Are you referring to Walt Whitman HS?

Yes. The high school where if you live in South Huntington/Melville your kids will attend.

This is so personal! I have buyers who insist they want to live in or stay in the district, and I have buyers who absolutely do NOT want the district.
So what you'll be getting here are personal opinions skewed to our personal preferences... which may/probably doesn't have anything to do with yours. (One of my daughters is raising a young family in the district)

Involved parents are usually more informed. JMHO
