Fence on property (house, taxes, homeowner)

If a neighbor puts in a fence and its put in crooked and literally goes over the property line to yours, other than being put on your property, what could be any consequences with taxes? Especially if no one ever says anything.

There shouldn't be any tax consequences, but the homeowner should ask that the situation be corrected. After a certain number of years, you basically forfeit that portion of the land plus this can create problems if/when the house is sold and the survey is checked.

It won't affect your taxes. However, you should never let a neighbor put a fence that encroaches on your property. You can have many problems down the road.
