I am equally outraged about wallstreet, but if we can't control the corruption going down at our local level, how can we stop big government? People need to less apathetic when it comes to our money and how it's being misused.

town truck use for personal use
Does anyone have a quote like Brookhaven's code about Family members using Town property? I can't seem to locate it in the Huntington Town Enforcement code book on-line. Any help with this would be most appreciated. Nothing in the code book seems to mention employees and what they are allowed to do or not do with town owned property, such as Town vehicles. Any help with this would be most appreciated.

Use of Town truck for personal use
For almost 2 years I've been discussing on this blog how this Huntingtown Town employee has been racking up bogus overtime while his town truck's been sitting in the driveway while he mows his lawn, he's also continously been observed taking his son and equipment to travel baseball games all over LI when he's supposed to be on call. He's been seen a few times driving his wife and son to dinner in the truck, takes his bags of lawn clippings to the nearest 7/11 dumpster with the town truck and dumps them there. And now just recently took his brother-in-law in the town truck, all the while having his other trucks to use in his driveway. He's also been observed delivering a town snowblower to his house with his truck to use for his personal use. Meanwhile, he drives 2 four wheel drive vehicles.
We've been wanting to report this to the Town officials, but wanted to make sure there was something in the town code book stating that town employees are prohibited from driving town vehicles with no family members. We contacted a personnel supervisor there, and they said they don't see it listed anywhere in writing. However, this woman said she knows this is defintely NOT allowed, but was unable to find where this was written in the Town employee manual, which I find hard to believe. Brookhaven has the statute that says employee are under no circumstances, are allowed to have family members in the town vehicles unless they are also on official town business. I can't imagine that other towns, especially Huntington would put up with this abuse. The taxpayers of Huntington would find it interesting that while the rest of us were paying almost $5/gal in the spring, he was using Town gas to drive his son all over the place while on Overtime to ball games and practices, or taking the liability of driving his son, wife or brother-in-law in a town truck that doesn't cover family members. And even worse, to be driving the town truck and publicly being observed illegally dumping his bags of debris and grass clippings at 7/11 dumpster. Of of which has been documented on their 7/11 surveillance system. We also have plenty on surveillance tapes of our own. So if any of you want to help us out with this, it would be most appreciated. We're just so sick of this abuse and want to stop it once and for all.
Can anyone with knowledge of Employee Protocol in Huntington please help us locate this information in writing?? Before expose this employee to the Town officials and the media, we want to see this infraction in writing. Thank you.

You seem to be the only one upset by this, you make some strong acusations but seem unwilling to go directly to the town but want someone else to do your dirty work.
What did this guy do to bring on the 24 hour a day surveillance, Pi$$ in your cheerios?

Town truck
Stole stuff off my property and has been harassing us numerous times. Police told advised us to get a surveillance system, but we've also noticed him doing all this stuff with his town truck as well.
Let me ask you Kevin, why do you have a problem with me complaining about this?? Do you work for the Town too?
Wasn't asking for your comments, but rather anyone who is willing to help me out here. Talked to the town, but they'd rather cover things up instead of correcting it.
