Half Hollow Hills SD includes Dix Hills, most of Wheatley Hts, part of Melville, a small section of Deer Park, plus Daly Rd (incl. a few side roads off of Daly Rd) in E. Northport. It also extends to a small section west of Rte 110, south of Farmingdale University - considered Farmingdale by some, Melville by others.

The best "bargains" with regard to housing in the SD are in Wheatley Hts and Deer Park. The education obviously is the same...

And, actually in East Farmingdale ("Farmingdale, NY 11735" mailing address).

According to the Census Bureau's online address search function, that would be in Dix Hills ("East Northport, NY 11731" mailing address)

Thank you! This website is awesome and all of you have been to informative and helpful! THANK YOU! Now, only to find the house. We found a short sale we really liked but its a short sale. Would have preferred to deal with a homeowner and not a bank.

In a short sale, you're dealing with both!

Elke - I see that you are into real estate....how long do short sales usually go on for? I am dying to know when we will hear anything back! I'm nervous and excited! Hope they like our offer... it was 8,000 less than asking. Is that good?
