What's your interpretation of "diversified"? Different cultures? Different religions? Etc.
Some areas have a large influx of Asians, etc.

Half Hollow Hills is a diversified school district with residents covering lots of different "races" (pardon the expression) and religions, etc., partly because it encompasses a large area. It is generally considered to be an excellent SD.

HHH and Herricks fit that bill the best IMO, then maybe Three Village (from what I hear anyway).

That is the million dollar question, my friend. According to the Long Island Index's 2009 report, Long Island is the 3rd most racially segregated area in the country. http://longislandindex.org/fileadmin...alAnalysis.pdf
Half Hollow Hills is an excellent school district. It's students are still predominantly Caucasian (70% according to Newsday). Yet the district's percentage of Black (13%), Hispanic (5%), and Asian (11%) makes it look like the United Nations when compared to other districts in the area.

Enough with the "looking for diversity" threads already.
It's friggin' 2010, not 1962 for crying out loud.
Move anywhere you can afford to live comfortably. Aint nobody gonna say squat or bust your chops. Cut your lawn, take care of your home and don't be a jerk, and at the very least, you'll be tolerated politely. If you're looking to be the village spokesperson and the focal point of the entire community, then you have other issues to deal with besides "diversity" problems.

Maybe they're looking to be more than "tolerated politely" but rather the likelyhood of commonality and more assurance of the possibility of forming friendships within their (new) community...

Karl, if you were a troll, you would want to know where there are other trolls living, wouldn't you? Everyone knows diverse areas with good school districts are guaranteed to attract some trolls among the other races/ethnicities. Trolls want the good life too! They appear out of the blue on C-D and make threads on it all the time hoping to draw someone in or create negative chatter about diverse areas. It's a very important issue, so please do think before you criticize!

No. I would just try to buy into the fanciest white neighborhood I could possibly afford!

Preferably one with a nice sturdy bridge going over a bubbling little stream that runs through the bucolic Village green ...

Taken directly from my post. Now, it is a broad statement, a little exaggerated perhaps, but it is what it is. You can basically move to any what we here on CD would call "decent" community and be accepted regardless of ethnic origin, you get what you give. I said at "the least" you'll be tolerated. That would be worst case scenario.
Again, live wherever you can afford to live comfortably.

Just wanted to add, that these days money and status seems to be more important than skin pigmentation.
