A map of the Hamlet of North Bellmore in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County:
North Bellmore is one of those many villages and hamlets on Long Island where none of the places in the community have the hamlet name in their mailing address: places in the Hamlet of North Bellmore have a "Bellmore, NY 11710", "Wantagh, NY 11793" and "Merrick, NY 11566" mailing address.

Uh. I think N. Bellmore borders Uniondale over there by the Walmart on Jerusalem Ave. However it could be N. Merrick. That's not N. Bellmore's problem, it's problem is the run down Levitt housing stock that dominates the area. It needs replaced or refurbished. The same goes for a lot of homes in the Island Trees SD area.
The "Levitt housing stock" is in Levittown, not North Bellmore.
Uniondale is not next to North Bellmore - Walter, feel free to comment here (thanks).

As indicated in the preceding maps of the Hamlet of North Bellmore and the Hamlet of North Merrick, North Merrick is between North Bellmore and Uniondale.

The Levitt housing stock encompases most of the Island Trees SD area and part of N. Bellmore is in that SD. In the end the greater Bellmore area has a less diverse and more run down housing stock than Merrick and Wantagh.
Walter, I figured I might be incorrect about the area along Jerusalem Ave. but according to the map Jerusalem Ave. divides two hamlets. It's not Uniondale. Is it East Meadow on the North side of Jerusalem ave.?
I have noticed a lot of lower prices in Bellmore also. I would say that it probably depended on the location, and the condition of the homes. I wouldnt post on here the crappier spots in my opinion. If you send me a message...I could tell you. My wife grew up in Bellmore.

The Island Trees Union Free School District is in the northeast and east part of the Hamlet of of Levittown and no part of the Hamlet of North Bellmore, which is to the southwest of the Hamlet of Levittown and is separated from the Hamlet of Levittown by the southeast part of the Hamlet of East Meadow and the northwest part of the Hamlet of North Wantagh, is in the Island Trees Union Free School District.

Yes.

The Hamlet of East Meadow has a different border than does the "East Meadow, NY 11554" ZIP Code postal zone (a place can be in the Hamlet of East Meadow and have other than an "East Meadow, NY 11554" mailing address): there are a few places in the Hamlet of East Meadow that have a "Westbury, NY 11590" mailing address.

Island trees has nothing to do with bellmore. Island trees is made up of seaford, bethpage, and levittown.
Where is Merrick unsafe? I know you have a problem with non-whites but Merrick has a big buffer zone, being the Meadowbrook Pkwy with Freeport and Roosevelt. You have to give examples of rough Merrick neighborhoods. IMHO Merrick is nicer than Bellmore and Seaford with a far diverse housing stock.
I agree with all American Merrick has a lot of break insbecause its so close to Roosevelt znd freeport.
