Why so they can raise your taxes of course. CAC might even need a separate CO - it does in Garden City.

TOH website does not say you need a CO to add CAC. Is a CO the same as a permit?

I am being told Nassau county is much different than Suffolk in that regard.

Could be. Nothing would surprise me.

My sister just sold her house in GC (yep, just like me) and she had the house renovated when she moved in 21 years ago and she added CAC. She was all set to close and at the 11th hour her attorney told her she didn't have the proper electrical inspection nor a CO for the CAC. Thankfully it turned out to be no big deal. She closed 2 weeks later, but it's the not the kind of thing you like rearing its ugly head 21 years later.

No, a CO (Certificate of Occupancy) is not the same as a permit.

TOH requires a permit for many things - not all require a CO
