renting room to student (Stony Brook: apartments, renters, houses)

does any one knew

if village of lake grove has any rule against renting out one or two rooms to Stony Brook Student, i need to make some extra income.

are they strict about apartments in private homes or boarding houses?

In centereach, ronkonkoma or stony brook, i see lots of that going on, it don't seem to be a problem there, but because lake grove is a village would it be more difficult to do this.

The only rule I know of is that they are suppose to be young and very cute. Ugly student renters are not allowed.

You'd be sharing expenses and nothing more. Don't even think in terms of being a landlord; that will open up a gamut of problems.

LOL, thats the least of my worries, as longs as they could pay on time and are mature and clean, looks don't matter.

If you could get a grad student or visiting professor you would probably be better off as they are more serious and less apt to have 'drama'. You don't want to call any attention to the situation.
