Pensioners living on Long Island (Holbrook: income, gym, station)

Just want to give a shout out to all of the other folks out there living on a "fixed income" tell us what you did or didn't do today. I myself went to the gym and drove out to smith"s point for a ride on the beach.

I think most of them are either:

1. Hosing down their driveways

2. Driving along main streets at a snails pace with their blinker on.

3. At the gas station without a clue how to "pay at the pump" and, thus, holding up the rest of us who need to get back to work.

4. At the supermarket without a clue as to how to use a self checkout and, thus, annoying the rest of us who need to pick up kids or run other errands while you're trying to figure out how to scan your orange and your copy of Newsday.

Self Checkout is a pain in the ass for everyone.

I'm going to have to agree with the old folk, and if I know my Newsday and Orange is $1. Just walk past the cashier, while I'm wlaking show her what I've got, and drop a dollar on the counter as I leave.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH no traffic for me. woke up late.....I love driving in the morning and I swear every time I cross the LIE, I GIGGLE at the traffic heading west around 6:30 am. Then I get bagels..And I am only 43 yrs. old................
