Default Commercial/Industial Areas of Long Island

Hi Everyone -

I'm working on a small project and was wondering if I could get some input on what are the most commercial or industrial areas/towns on Long Island?

From what I have been able to find-- Hauppauge has its Industrial Park, and it seems like Garden City and Bohemia/Islandia areas are also pretty big with commercial and industrial areas...

Any other suggestions?

Thank you for any help, I appreciate it!

Commercial areas too? Like, shopping? That is going to be a long list...but if you just mean, like factories, isn't there some sort of nuclear power plant out in Wading River?

Default In case you are unfamiliar with the local geography

AGFC, in case you are unfamiliar with the local geography, I've sent you an explanation of the very, very confusing geography of "Lawn Guyland" as a DM (Direct Message).

I can see this guy turning in the paper to a professor who marks up the paper with a red marker by just crossing out the East in front of Farmingdale, and Garden City, noting that cardinal direction within a small city is not necessary.

The defunct Shoreham Nuclear Plant is in East Shoreham ("Shoreham, NY 11786" mailing address.

East Farmingdale and East Garden City are not areas within Farmingdale and Garden City, respectively, but entirely separate communities; and, in the case of East Farmingdale, in a different town and county from Farmingdale.

These are either hamlets or villages, not cities.

Glen Cove and Long Beach are cities.

NYS Geographic Glossary may be of some help in understanding the geography of "Lawn Guyland".
