Whats the Most Exclusive Part of Long Island?
I was told that East Hampton is the most exclusive part of Long Island. Is this true? Are the locals friendly and is the place safe?
Where else would you recommend?

Seriously, though, I thought Sands Point was supposed to be exclusive?

Agree.
If by exclusive the OP means most expensive, then it is the Village of Sands Point, because that community has the most expensive real estate on Lawn Guyland.

Sands Point is one of those many villages and hamlets on Long Island where none of the places in the community have the village name in their mailing address: places in the Village of Sands Point have a "Port Washington, NY 11050" mailing address.

If you wanna talk hamptons though, I would say Southampton is more "exclusive" than Easthampton.

There are several areas that could be considered exclusive - all depends on what you're interested in.
Centre Island is another location.

I would have to say the most exclusive would be Asharoaken. You all can beg to differ, but that's my answer.

It is hard to say which is the most exclusive, but I would have to say that Sands Point, Muttontown, Mill Neck, Lloyd Neck/Harbor, Old Westbury, Centre Island, The Brookvilles, Oyster Bay Cove and Lattingtown would be a tie for most exclusive. Wealthy areas such as Garden City and Manhasset are merely upper middle class compared to these communities.

Wow you need to get out more.
LLoyd Neck, Sands Point, Kings Point, Lattingtown etc
Asharoken is nice but it's not really exclusive.
