Need a Chimney Cleaner in Nassau County (Plainview, Bellmore: maintenance, tax) - Long Island - New York (NY) - City-Data Forum

Can anyone recommend an honest chimney cleaner in Nassau County (South Shore - Bellmore). I see ads in the local paper for $50.00 - is this realistic or just someone who wants to tell me to replace my chimney for a couple of grand?

Be very careful of chimney cleaning companies. They are notoriously crooked. They either try to sell you services you don't need or charge you for services they do not do.

Try calling your oil company (if you use oil) and ask them for a recommendation.

I believe I used Empire to do my cleaning

I used "Top to Bottom" just this past week upon recommendation of my oil company. Seemed to be very honest and upfront about everything. I was happy with their work.

I just used CHIMNEY KING ...did a good job ...they charge me $ 89.00 plus tax which was about $97 for TWO chimneys ..I have a fire place ...
