Default GUTTER CLEANING recommendation?

Hello-

Can anyone out there recommend a cheap yet trustworthy gutter company? We need our gutters cleaned and perhaps gutter guards installed on our 2 story home. We live in Smithtown

I looked on craigslist but I'm nervous hiring someone that is not recommended first.

Thanks!!!!!!

We used Ned Stevens. The only problem is they never stop calling once they've done the job, trying to line you up again. BUt they did a good job, it was $90 - they charge based on size/style of house - you can book them online.

They are still calling my cell and I live in N.C. now, LOL.

$90 - holy moly! I should get into that business!

I used to pay an eager kid neighbor $25 to clean mine (I have only front and back - one level) but have since regained my courage to get the ladder out and do it myself.

Do gutter guards really work? Might be a good investment.

I had a system called "Leaf Relief" installed and it has performed well.

Has it ever clogged? I'm hesistant to invest in a gutter guard if it still requires me to get up on a ladder to blow out leaves.

So far, so good. My property has a lot of trees and the gutters are leaf and debris free. I didn't install it myself but it didn't look very difficult to do.

Just go up there with a leaf blower and blow them out. Hire a neighborhood kid to do it for $20 if you can't climb up to the roof yourself.
