Hey does anyone go to Long Beach instead of Jones. Is it open to public? Is there more than 1 beach? Thanks for your responses.

Used to be you'd pay at the boardwalk to enter the beaches at Long Beach.I don't remember having to be a long beach resident..just a resident of the county. parking was always an issue.
have you considered Point lookout? The entrance is straight ahead at the end of the Loop Pkwy. There's a fee to enter, but there is a concession stand and bathrooms. If you go way left of the area you'll find many families...otherwise the rest of the strip there is pretty mixed. it's not the most exciting or beautiful of beaches, but it's very very convenient to the Meadowbrook Parkway |
