Default Is Roosevelt New York really THAT bad?

Well, I live in South Hampton. And this summer i'm going to be saying with my sister, I always knew she lived in Nassau County, but yesterday she told me she lived in roosevelt NY, instantly i got scared, Ive heard so many bad things about that town. Does anyone think i should go. My problem is that im a Hampton Girl and i don't think i can survive in such a place.

Can anyone tell me about the crime in Roosevelt?

Roosevelt is probably the most crime-ridden area of Nassau County. It is also one of the few areas where Nassau County police ride two officers in a patrol car 24 hours a day. If you are used to the Hamptons and have not been exposed to any ghetto type environments, you're in for an eye opening experience. On the flip side of the coin, there are some parts that are not that bad, but overall be careful.
