It is piling up here in Westbury, they haven't come since last Thursday (before the storm).

We did pretty well!

I'm on a Monday/Thursday schedule. They picked up Monday's up on Tuesday and picked up Tuesday's on Wednesday PLUS the recyclables. Thursday they were back on track!

Mail on the other hand... The first delivery we had all week on our block was on Thursday at 5PM ! GRRRRR

Unless it's dressed in bows and ribbons, or is curbed with a greeting card with a few sheckels in it, I don't think that it'll have "curb appeal".
Our "garbagemen", had such a great year, that this is the first year that they left an envelope for us! Should I report them? Naw, half of them are
volunteer firemen who are only gving back half of what we slipped to them during their summer fund drive.

My area in Holtsville did pretty good. Normal Tues/Fri garbage service picked up as usual.

My garbage got picked up both days, but they sent a larger dump truck than usual and it had a noticeable gear drive whine. The noise was deafening....for a whole 37 seconds, it violently shook all three windows in my house and I had to seek psychological counseling because of it. Plus, it looked like it was a crew of illegal immigrants. Probably gang members. The politicians are more concerned with protecting them, even though they can't vote, than with my traumatizing aural phobias. It's onbelievable....
