Money magazine rates Baldwin as the 25th best place to live in America
Can you imagine that? Baldwin? do you think they came for a visit first? what were they thinking????????????

I cannot believe they picked Baldwin I was so shocked there are so many better places on LOng Island to live!!!!!!!!!!!

I lived in Baldwin from 1980 to 2004, when I packed up and went south. It was sad to leave but it came to the point where I couldn't recognize my own town anymore. So much had changed and for the most part for the worse.
I guess the lesson to be learned from this is to take all of these "Top places to live" rankings with a huge grain of salt and do your own research before moving anywhere.

I heard Freeport ranked 3rd in the "Best place with outrageously high village taxes while having neighbors that don't speak English" category!

I think they took them to Alec Baldwins house it looks like a small town, their GPS must have done something wacky.

There has to be something good about Baldwin for them to pick it.
BTW My town, Glen Allen, ranked #66 and it's a very nice place to live.
