Default Height is a class influence

Conversely to your rich short Dad I'm 6 foot 4 and squarely working class since day one. However deep down inside I know my pedigree is filled with noble royalty.

I'd say

expenses are a factor because $50,000 or $60,000 annual income for a single person is one thing, but that amount for a family (husband, wife, three or more kids is another story)

Anyway, I'd venture something likei...

working class - from $60,000 to 100,000

middle class - $150,000 to $250,000

upper middle - $250,000 to $350,000

Everyone seems to have different opinions about this...if you ask someone from Long Island what their definition of class incomes is, it will be significantly higher than someone anywhere else in the country.

But of course...

those spacious MTV Cribs owned by rappers and athletes in the south probably didn't cost them as much as the price of a four bedroom, two bathroom, brick here.

Do you know what you can get in Atlanta, Florida suburbs for $800,000 to
$1,000,000?

Something close to a mansion.

My ex just bought a home in Atlanta, beautiful, great school system...$450,000.

That's high end there.

There are perfectly nice little homes for $250,000.

The OP was inquiring others' opinions in regards to LI, not other areas of the country.

DD, I'm so sorry you hate LI as much as you do but am glad you're hittin' the road. Good on ya!

My sister is looking at houses in Melville. There was a lovely one but the realtor told her, with ME on the phone, that the house was 'too close to Wyandanch'. What does that mean?
