Ok been a Petro customer for as long as I've owned my home. I just got punched in the gut with my last delivery and my service contract is up.

Slomins quoted me 3.09 per gallon with a 109 service contract.

Anyone have their service? Good, bad, indifferent?

Been with them now for about a month. So far so good. Cant comment on emergency service b/c I havent needed it yet. I love how nice their website is and can do everything from it. I hear they give you a great price to get you in, but raise it thru the roof when you renew. We'll see.

You can do much better than Slomins and Petro if you shop around. IMO, they are pretty much the 2 most expensive out there.

Yeah I'm a little concerned about the service mostly. Petro was awesome, paid for nothing and I had a few calls.

I've had slomin's for about 3 months. I locked in at $2.79 plus the service contract. They did a tuneup a few weeks after we signed up which worked out great. Haven't needed them other than that. I also have them for my alarm system so I save a few extra dollars on my alarm bill per month.

What are you concerned about? Their contract covers pretty much everything and anything that will fail.
Will Petro match Slomins number for oil and contract?

They wouldn't for me. Figured I'll give Slomins a shot for a year and see how they do.

I figured the same thing. They wouldn't match, they tried to tell me the price was outrageous and they aren't going to give you the service that Petro is.

Before I switched to gas heat I had Slomins for a number of years. Never had a problem with them.
They always came in cheaper then Petro.

Default Slomin's

I had Slomins for one year. Their service was great - they did a detailed tuneup, checked exhaust gases, etc.. to make sure the burner is working correctly. Their deliveries were always on time.

Their customer service on the other hand was terrible. I kept getting different answers as to when my contract date ended, how much oil i've consumed, etc...

This year i got General to grudgingly match Slomin's price but i'd go back to them if their price was right.
