Oh yeah, simply harass some guy sitting in his car in plain sight because you are worried that some pedo is behind every tree. Maybe you should worry about the civic minded neighbor who always goes to the girl's soccer team games and doesnt even have a daughter.

No, I'm going to call the cops. It's suspicious, period.
Update: The car wasn't there this afternoon. One of my neighbors actually asked the person in the car what they were doing, and they said they were hired to "watch" the house while the owners were away. If that's the case, wouldn't you park in the empty driveway? My neighbor is suspicious because the adjacent house has someone on workman's comp living there....

What is the latest? Did you call the police or are you taking what your neighbor got as the answer? Have the car(s) returned?

Haven't seen the car in a couple of days. Never had a chance to call the cops.

Thank god they are gone. Danger is over. Everyone can sleep easily. Let the dogs and cats out again.

Criminals are known to case out places they plan to rob or do worse to. I guess you'd feel comfortable with some stranger sitting in a car outside your house for a few days with your loved ones at home, because nothing bad ever comes from that. Maybe ask that doctor in CT who had his family abused, murdered and his house set ablaze how he feels about this.

Before you give advise, check the facts. The Petit family was spotted shopping and then followed home. The murders didnt sit in plain sight in front of the house for days on end.
Please stop seeing boogeymen behind every tree, inside every car and on the skin of every non-white person.

Wow, its really amazing the differences in how some people think. I guess for some people its normal to sit on a random street for hours on end in your car.
I don't blame anyone who wants to know why there is a strange car sitting in front of a house for extended periods of time with someone in it. its not being a busy body, its protecting your family and street.
There could be any number of bad things that he could be doing. I'm guessing there could be a completely innocent reason why as well.
for any extended period of time I see nothing wrong with calling the cops to check it out.
For those who think that you're perfectly within your rights to do this.... you may be. but don't be surprised that the neighbors will stop and ask you what you are doing along with the cops. you want to go sit somewhere go to a park or a parkinglot.
