My husband and I were thinking of either looking at the condos in the Hunt Club in Coram or Birchwood on Spring Lake in Middle Island. We love what they both offer.
So many posters say these two areas are not very good...we don't have to worry about the schools, because we are "empty-nesters".
We currently live in Hicksville, and I'm wondering how these two areas compare with Hicksville.
skip birchwood - pretty place but horrible HOA - don't care about residents - fees are outrageous for what you "get" - been living here 13 years would get out except for lousy economy & house no longer worth what we owe
The Hunt club is nice but in my opinion the development can be pricey. It's a nice area, just about on the Mount sinai border. If you like golf, i'd go with Bretton Woods.
