We have Tom Leonards's which is the son of Stew, same good stuff!

There had been talk about Stew Leonards going in near the end of one of the runways at Republic. Had to have been several years ago. There were safety concerns, so the market was nixed but it is my understanding that there is a Stew Leonard's Wine store in the general area.

Always hoped they would expand to LI. Cracker Barrel locations are mostly only off interstates. Hard to find that on LI. Not many people use our only interstate the LIE to travel between states. They still would make tons of biz here. Would make horrible traffic even worse anywhere of of LIE. Mostly will get non-traveling biz inlike most other locations they have.
Love the biscuits with Apple butter they have. Dumplings....along with the breakfasts. They have many items available seasonally. We always like the Fried chicken when they have it.

Yeah, their biscuits are very good along with that apple butter ... mmmmm.
Their breakfast menu is excellent, but their lunch/dinner menu is on par with McDonald's.
Golden Corral was here but closed. The last one I think was in Commack a few years ago.
Yep, that's what happens to most of these southern garbage food chains. They thrive in nowheresville VA because the people typically don't have taste, in their mouths or otherwise.

You're right, it used to be where Charlie Brown's is at in Commack across from Target.
I was just at the Golden Corral in Bethlemhem, Pennsylvania on Saturday. It was more like "Ghetto Corral" than Golden Corral. For some reason, Golden Corrals bring out a very low-scale/low-class bunch of folks. On the flip-side, the food was good and affordable, in the $10/pp range.

And now that Charlie Browns has gone the way of the dodo, gee maybe Long Island can get its 5,678,987th Applebees.
