It shows how uneducated people think that mob mentality is the best thing since sliced bread.

This "movement" (term used VERY lightly) is nothing more than an in-person email chain forward, just like those dumb political anti-Obama/pro-GOP jokes parents send to kids

If you want real change, you need to fight for it, not just this slacktivist garbage. Get off your butt and fight for legislation, push for change and show what you want. Not buying gas from gas companies (which even during the economic downturn was showing record profits) to prove a point? It's like throwing a rock in the ocean. Looks great, but if you think it's going to cause ripples all the way around the world, you have bigger problems than the price of gas.

I’m with you Barbara!

On average I put gas in once a week, so about 4-5 times a month. The rest of the month I’m protesting!

known enough to not follow sheep mentality to think not buying gas on one day is really a huge protest for gasoline prices

So if I need to protest on Friday and still need to go somewhere on Saturday, I should just fill up Thursday? Concept is completely flawed as we all still need to get from point A to point B.

The poster who said demand would only shift a few days is absolutely right...
