Default Bellmore, NY

Can anyone tell me about Bellmore? We're moving shortly, and aside from Bellmore’s favorable location, and safe and clean neighborhoods, we know little else. Can anyone tell us about their favorite stores, bakeries, restaurants, pizza?

Since we’re packing, I might not be able to respond to the thread in a day or two, although I thank everyone in advance, for their help!

North Bellmore, although recommendations including surrounding areas (e.g. South Bellmore and Merrick) are appreciated as well!

Problem is no one wants to help on this board, they are too busy complaining.

Do you have any children? I can recommend some places for them too.

Default Info

Rockville Center has some good restaurants and bars. You should check that out as well.

Agreed, U will find some nice places to eat there. Plus they opened a Brennan and Carr which has the 2nd best roast beef sandwich in NY. Roll N Roaster being first of course.

I grew up in North Bellmore. Caesars Pizza....yum! I'm with the other poster who mentioned Ivarrone - it is an Italian market with all kinds of specialties including delicious pastries. Bagels - a place called Noah's Ark in Bellmore is pretty good. I loved growing up there and I hope you enjoy it. Good luck to you.

Thanks to all who replied! Sorry for the lag time between posts, but I am still in the process of packing, and am using a borrowed computer to access the 'net.

I will give the above places a try...thanks again, for the recommendations!
